What Kevin Richards told me about Mark Baxter by email and I - TopicsExpress

What Kevin Richards told me about Mark Baxter by email and I quote: Tina, ANY vocal coach who tells you can take a lesson whenever you feel like it and can do it on your own by watching videos and vocalizing at home simply DOES NOT want to put in the work to teach you properly. In other words – he wants “easy to teach” students who will pay full price lessons each week. Laziness to just take money. He’s not passionate about teaching people who really need it. It would cost you $80 for two 30min lessons with me - whereas Mark was charging you $85 for just one. My point was that a single 30min lesson per month is not going to help you any in the short or long term. As you said in your video (and I agree) 30min lessons are a scam because you can’t possibly teach anyone anything of substance in 30min – at least at a beginner level. I have given 30min lessons to singers but there were accomplished singers only looking for advice on a song or needed to brush up on some little bits of technique. I do however also have to tell you, although I agree with some things you said about Mark Baxter (lesson fees and his ridiculous questionnaire). Kevin
