What Lies Beneath Listen with your mind at the foreign tongue Look with your heart as foul air expells from your lungs How is it possible for outward harm to leave inner peace If the lies are honest then what is the truth beneath The world is empty when full of sin When darkness enters the light begins All is calm in turmoil and fights Peaceful chaos evokes your rights As the foul knowledge is weakly inhaled The first step up is a leap off a ledge You climbed into the plunge that submerged your lungs Now as they pump the sweet odor serenades your tongue Now listen to your mind watch your heart sing a silent tune Focus on the lights as they fume Just because the tasteful gas wasn’t consumed by your ears Doesn’t mean its affects won’t impinge on your fears Silent rolls of thunderous tears Will continue to deteriorate threw growing years
