What Really Happened To The PHILIPPINE RAILWAY COMPANY? For Everyones Information, The Philippine Railway Company of The Iloilo-Capiz Circuit And The Philippine Railway Company Of Toledo, Cebu Simultaneously Built In 1906 And Were Completed In 1908 Were Operated By One And The Same Entity.... PRC Based In New York City, NY. The Outbreak Of The Second World War Crippled Their Operations In Panay And Cebu Commercially As These Were Used By The Occupying Japanese Imperial Forces To Move About Its Military Operations At The End Of The War. Meanwhile PRY In Panay Island Was Rehabilitated. The Cebu Franchise Has Never Been Reactivated, Instead What Had Remained Of Its Still Operational Steam Locomotives At The Time Were Sold To Sugar Centrals In Negros Occidental And Else Where. In Contrast, The Philippine Railway Company of Panay Was Rehabilitated, It Subsequently Received Reparations For War Damages Sustained During WWII, For Panay Island, In The Form Of Six Brand New Train Coaches That I Remember Were Delivered Sometime In 1958. Below Is A Photo Of One These Coaches As It Languished In The Lapus, Iloilo City Railway Junk Yard Long Before The Company Closed Shop In 1986.
