[What They Will Never Tell In The Music Industry] [but I will Anthony Evans Style] [How much does it really take to release a single, album or mixtape?] It takes millions... seriously. The budget for marketing and promoting an album or single,The key word is BUDGET if you dont have one there maybe someone out there that may work with you.But dont aspect a lot with little to no BUDGET... Major labels handle promotional expenses. If youre an unsigned or independent artist, you have to cover these expenses. This is not to say you need a million dollars to release your project, but you do need to have a long term plan and a BUDGET in order to get real results.... Promotion is your most important cost. If manufacturing & recording are save expenses, promotion is your area to splurge. It is more difficult to break into commercial radio without the help of an established radio promoter than it is handle print/web promotion yourself something to keep in mind dont expect PR companies to work miracles. Is radio a good fit for your release? Is your audience listening to the radio? The key to spending wisely on promotion is to know your audience and make sure youre targeting them.
