What Were Loving Right Now The 86th Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles last week and we were very proud to see Cate Blanchet take out the Best Actress Award for her role in Blue Jasmine. The Aussie actress was a front-runner for the award from the beginning of the award season so it was no surprise she took out the top honor, but what really impressed us on the night was the fashion on the red carpet. Lupita Nyongo, Kate Hudson and fellow Aussie Naomi Watts all dressed to impress with makeup and hair to match. Mr. Lagerfeld has done it again. His Autumn Winter 2014 show in Paris this week has seen the fashion icon show his innovative creativity, which keeps Chanel at the top. The theme for the show was supermarket sheik and saw models such as Cara Delevigne and Jordan Dunn weave their way threw ultra fashionable supermarket isles. The show featured Chanel’s signature heavy fabrics and classic suits as well as some modern footwear and coats. With Autumn days becoming more and more present and winter only two months away, we are seeing a continuing natural look for hair and makeup, with either a healthy, sporty vibe - partnered with naturally wavy, tousled hair - or with clever sculpting and definition. In the salon we are seeing a lot of our guests opting for the shorter styles with more high collars and scarves working their way into our wardrobes.
