Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies which aims, among other things, womens political, economic and social rights and womens equality with mannen.Vissa of the movements roots can be traced to the 1700s and has since been found in a variety of forms. Until the early 1900s used the concepts of the womens movement or the womens rights movement. The word feminist was originally a derogatory term to describe women who have not adapted their behavior to prevailing gender norms. The word was also used on female characteristics in men. The name was taken, however, of the womens movement at the International Conference in Paris in 1892. From origins in the Enlightenment freedom of thought and the French Revolution has feminism grown to become a significant political kraft.Den feminist thought movement has some of its origins in the French Revolution thoughts equal human rights. Since then considered the motion according to feminist interpretation have undergone three different waves. The first wave is characterized by the struggle for equal rights and suffrage, the second wave is characterized upgrading the of the woman and the third of the counterpartys demeaning and blurring of gender boundaries. Feminisms roots go back a long way, but it was in the late 1700s that the seeds of the line of thought that would become feminism were sown. The idea of man as a creature of reason is something that Wollstonecraft takes note of this and claim that it is immoral to deny women the opportunity to develop the mind. Wollstonecraft could partially agree that women were irrational but she also felt that it was because their lives were so severely limited.
