What a GREAT DAY!!!! I saw a new Dr. In Dubuque for my knee today. He is AWESOME and my Total Knee Replacement surgery is going to be........wait for it......Monday, September 29th. He said that I did great losing the weight that I did and there is no reason to continue going on like I have. Lets get this done for you. He also said that waiting to lose 50 more pounds wouldnt make the surgery better or less risky. I have the same chance at an infection as anyone, skinny, heavy, obese, or whatever. That risk is less than 1% of getting an infection. Yes, I am still young. Yes, they dont normally give 45 year olds a total knee replacement......but there isnt anything normal about your knee for a 45 year old. I cant see making you suffer any longer. So, surgery is in 13 days. Jeremy, the LOVE OF MY LIFE, is having surgery this Thursday on his shoulder so we might need some help around here. You all have prayed and supported me this far.....just a few more days and then recovery, and then NORMAL life again. Please pray for Jeremy on Thursday....I know he says it is no big deal but every surgery is a big deal. I have shed more HAPPY tears today since 11:35am then I have in a long time. PRAISE Jesus for his timing, gifts and his love!!! Praising Jesus for all of you!!!!
