What a Good Deed FAIL I had this evening! At local Dollar Store - TopicsExpress

What a Good Deed FAIL I had this evening! At local Dollar Store picking up TP & coffee filters for a laid up friend (good so far, right?!), a nice lady says go ahead of me in line, I am waiting for someone so I thank her and do. I am the only white and only male customer in the store, and I am wearing my grey shaggy hair hat over my very shaggy beard and seriously rough work clothes. I get to the front, and the sweet young girl clerk rings up my 2 items. As I pull out a ten to pay, I notice the lady behind me only has a box of Tylenol and I think, how nice she was to let me go ahead so I grab the box out of her hand, toss it on the counter and tell the girl, Ill pay for that too! I am thinking to myself, atta boy Frank - way to pay it forward, right!? So the girl complies and the Tylenol costs more than the other stuff combined but I dont care because I am making a statement - a kind gesture... I smile and say to the lady standing there open-mouthed thanks for standing behind me in line! She is too shocked to do anything but stare wide-eyes at me! I take my sack and head to the car with a nagging thought: that woman was NOT the lady who had let me go in front of her! But no biggie, guess she waited longer so I helped a random lady, thats fine, right? Not until I opened the bag at my friends house did I discover the clerk had put the Tylenol in MY sack! Clearly those ladies thought I was some thug with a headache who wanted her Tylenol, so I had just helped myself! So much for my Santa impression! Hohoho! *shaking my head* (yes, I took a couple of the Tylenol.)
