What a Monday!!! As tomorrow is Veterans Day I think this year we as a family will recognize it in a real and meaningful way! We have an older, single, Veteran that lives right next door! Hes still fighting wars, My Wars and he does it with a loving and want nothing in return heart! Hes a caretaker and taxi to my boys, hes a baker and a bbqer and brings something over at least twice a week. Hes a Gardner and a pruner when I am short on time. Hes a mechanic for the vehicles and tractor whenever anything goes wrong. Hes a watchdog for our house and our pups when we are gone, hes been a Dad to me now that my Dad is gone. Hes a Veteran. Hes a hero! Hes my friend! Tonight in honor of Veterans Day we shall thank him for his service and take him to dinner and then afterward to see one of his heroes... Merle Haggard at the Majestic Theatre in SanAntonio. Life is truly blessed because of our Veterans! Happy Vererans Day to all our Veterans and especially tonight to you Gene Duncan! We love you! You are our daily hero!
