What a Weekend! Finals were crazy and we had so much fun with everyone. Ashley finished the year with two great rides at 21 and 22 seconds! At the beginning of the year she started with 38 seconds and her improvement was amazing. She is quite the cowgirl! Jake finished the season as 2013 Champion and won a beautiful saddle! He loves bull riding, everything he does in life revolves around it too. And one of the most exciting things about it is that his cousin Isaac Wachtel took first in the open bull division too and for the second year in a row! Jeremys first night was rough, his horse rared up out of the gate and only by the Grace of God did he come out without a scratch! His second night was better but he was thrown way up and crashed down onto his back from an enormous horse, he again came out without getting hurt, he has a guardian angel named mom, in fact they all do! its the only way i can figure that theyve gone through all this and without really being hurt too badly. Jake rode an bull that throughout the year had been an open bull. Its a big bull that Jake didnt ride and came off, only to be hung up and thrown around for what felt like hours or at least minutes but im sure was only seconds. He wasnt hurt, just stunned for a few seconds, but i can say honestly and without a doubt in my mind that he would have been if not for Sid Croney, Jason Thomas and Shane Bunch! These three men are amazing and i wish i could have kept my cool and kept videoing because they took insane hits for Jakes sake. I know youve said its your job, but you put yourselves in danger for the lives of these boys. Each week i put my sons life in your hands without reservation or regret. The anxiety i use to feel while Jake rode is gone because of you because i know how seriously you take this and have shown time and time again that my trust is perfectly placed! Tommy Rand, your rodeo changed our lives and we can never thank you enough for all you do. Our family is stronger as we share in this together. Your family will always be appreciated. We will miss everyone over the next few months and really hate to see it end. Every contestant put their hearts into their performance this weekend, it was quite the show!
