What a blast we had at the Sock Hop. I really dont where to - TopicsExpress

What a blast we had at the Sock Hop. I really dont where to start. I loved the basket service with supper. Hamburgers and hot dogs in a basket, so clever. Food was perfect for the setting. Decorations just enough to get us going, but not enough to overwhelm us. Snappy Pappy, what can you say -- great as always. Playing those favorite sock hop tunes so that people could dance and twist. The beauty of the event was we had people in wheelchairs dancing, people with walkers dancing, and people who can walk being pushed around the dance floor in a chair (not sure what all that was about but it was cute). It was so great to see people who have never danced before in their lives. So great that you never too old to get up and take a chance. This reminds me of song by Lee Ann Womack. The words are so amazing and so appropriate for this occasion. The part of the song I truly love is, Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens, Promise me that youll give faith a fighting chance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance ... I hope you dance ... For everyone here at Windlands South, I hope when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance!
