What a day! First its the Tiger opener....fun with Jean all afternoon hollering, whooping, screaming at some of the bad moves and good pitchers and bad pitching and great base running...all of it. Its going to be a good, exciting year....Im optimistic for sure. They two CG Cutters showed up and began to beetle back and forth, up and down and I was so sure the Gott was coming up....NOPE....heard them talking to the CG on the radio that they were heading back due to some damage and last I checked on the AIS they were nearly back to Mackinac Bridge area...and the Blough and Cort are still east of Bois Blanc Island...bet those two will be coming in a couple of days, but there has to be some very serious ice cutting and from what I understand it might not be until at least next weekend. Was disappointed about the Gott, but at least cutters finally showed up and things have begun. Sadly the day was marred by the tragic house explosion across from us on DI. Besides a death some of the homes near the exploded house are severely damaged. Its a sad time on DI tonight as they cope with this tragedy.
