What a day! Grading in both the Gairloch and Ullapool C.S.M.A - TopicsExpress

What a day! Grading in both the Gairloch and Ullapool C.S.M.A Dojos today. Pleased to say that on the whole the standard and effort put in by the students was generally of a good to high standard, with some very high standards too. However, myself as an instructor and the students as potential Dan grades must not rest on our laurels. I must find ways to be a better instructor such as by providing more feedback and the students can all ways put in a bit more effort and work on perfecting their techniques and practice at home. The new starts did well and their 1st grading was also a wee insight into the techniques and standard expected in C.S.M.A. In Gairloch, while the other lower grades were being assessed, the students going for blue+ tags worked through 4 grades and students grading to purple belt did 5 different grades for 2 solid hours giving them quite a bit of revision as well as their own syllabus techniques. While in the Ullapool dojo the Orange+ tags, Red belts and Red+ tag students did white belt to 1 tag techniques along with our new starts and then graded 3 times in rotation in front of myself, Sensei Carol and Sempai Mark. Once again I would also like to thank Sensei Carol and Sempai Mark for their time and help in assisting and offering their opinions. Keep up the good work.
