What a day! Had an 8:30 am appt. for Nick to get a cast. Get there for them to inform me that they do not take his insurance and that we will have to pay out of pocket! Ya, NO! Thats what his insurance is for! They shouldve mentioned that when we first made the appt. two days ago!!! After talking to his primary doctor and like 20 phone calls later we FINALLY found a doctor, the only one in NWI that takes his insurance! After 3 + hours in his office, Nick has a full arm cast! It was a rough appt. They gave us the option to reduce it in the office or have surgery.... we opted for in office. Poor Nick had to get a numbing shot in his wrist and the doctor put it in place! OUCH! He did great though! I think it is terrible that because he is on MD Wise we had such a hassle. I used to always think it was crazy that ppl with government insurance complained about it. My thought was at least you have it... after today I see why!!! People on assistance deserve the same quality of care that people with private insurance have!
