What a day! It started with news of a colleagues very serious condition. Shortly before lunch Meghan had a little stumble that sent us to the ER. Dislocated shoulder that wont stay in place, possibly torn ligaments...well know more Monday when we see an ortho. As she was being dismissed, Nana (who was unaware of Meghans injury) had a spell & met us at ER. Chest pain & other scary symptoms were concerning but all of her labs & tests are fine. Following up Monday with her doctor. Dodge Co Hospital ER rocks! I should know--I was there from 11:30-7:00 today. They couldnt have taken better care of all of us. Big shoutout to Miranda Barron Bush & her crew---they were fabulous! In the midst of it all, I got word that Duane Mottern, my fellow DCHS teacher, had passed away. So surreal, so sudden, so heartbreaking. Makes my familys day pale in comparison. Prayers to his wife Leanne & their families. Big thanks to my husband Bruce , my sister & brother in law Leslie & Todd, Paige Coogle, & Lisa Thompson McCoy for helping us get through this day!
