What a day... This stage was stress pure. Unfortunately we lost our texan cowboy in a crash early in the stage. He broke his wrist and sternum and had to go to the Hospital. The rest of the stage was also quite nervous, so we focussed to keep our leader Tom in front of the bunch and out of trouble. The profile of the stage was a touch to hard for Marcel, so he said early already that he is not going to sprint. What happened then 150 meters before the finish was one of those scary moments when you see riders going down with 70 kp/h. I hope everyone involved in this high speed crash is sort of ok. Im happy that none of my teammates crashed but feel very sorry for the rest. That looked painful! Hopefully i can post nicer news tomorrow.
