What a day! We went to the lake and I was swimming and I saw Jim wave his hand to me to get out of the water. I knew something was wrong. We had to leave right away because our daughter Stephanie put her hand on accident through the door window. She did not want to go to the lake, so she was home with her sister! She shut the door by putting her hand on the window and pushing...rather than the door itself. She took off most of one finger and some skin on the other. She had surgery on her fingers at the ER by a plastic surgeon. She is in a lot of pain, but is hanging in there. Everyone say some prayers for my girl! We will be administering pain meds through the night. I am so glad this happened with her dad home...he had to take the missing part of the skin and fingers off the door. I l almost passed out when the ER doc took the bandage off that the medics put on. I have to say...it was cool...riding in the ambulance with their sirens going. Never been in one before in the front seat!!!
