What a day. Woken by Kerry at 5.30 this morning to say the kitchen tap wouldnt turn off. With water splashing everywhere i thought the isolation valve under the sink would stop it only to discover it was so isolated i couldnt even reach the thing. O well, the stopcock should do the trick then. No bloody chance, that had partly seized up. Last option was to go out in my Christmas onesie and turn off the main supply to the house which was 3 foot down, buried in years of shite. The moral of this story is to regularly check plumbing and taps or run round like an idiot for an hour like me. Need a drink now. 🍺
