What a day.... the mailman handed me my mail - and told me why he hasnt been around these last couple of days. He was jumped by kids (he thinks) playing the knockdown game... hes ok - but bruised. Hes a nice guy - I hope those idiots are caught and charged with assault of a federal employee...(or whatever they can be charged with)... I checked my mail - got a letter from my credit union - my debit card may have been compromised - so theyre issuing me a new one. (I used it at Home Depot... better safe than sorry.) I put the credit union on my list of places to go, and left the house. I was a half-block from my house - there was a poor kitty in the street, who had been hit by a car and killed. I couldnt just leave it there - so I went home and got a bag and a shovel. I scooped up kitty and took it to the Humane Society. Then I went to the credit union - then to Scotts Auto Scotts Car Wash and Auto Lube - todays wash proceeds go to the Humane Society...I had a rainy day car wash - then went to Giant to buy myself a treat - then to the pet store to buy the geckos a bunch of crickets. I dont like reptiles, or creepy crawlie things - but I cant be mean to them - so while I was there - I bought the geckos new bedding, a warmer rock, 50 crickets, and a dozen mealy worms. I came home and changed the bedding.... I put in the rock and changed their water.... As I was putting the stoopid crickets in their aquarium, I dropped them... 50 crickets make the great escape into my living room. I tried scooping them up - but they were running in every direction - so I got the vac and sucked up as many as I could. sigh..... I havent seen one for about an hour...
