What a day today! This one is up there with what you would least expect! While walking a precinct today in Plainfield this afternoon, 4 volunteers noticed smoke coming from a residence. The guys reacted professionally, which doesnt surprise me since 3 of them are currently sworn Sheriffs police and 1 is retired from our agency. They quickly began knocking on doors of the duplex to alert residence while one called to report the fire. End result, no one was hurt, while the structure suffered fire damage. Great Job Guys!
