What a garbage heap art thou, oh facebook news feed, and I, a slumdog, picking through the fishbones, to slake an urgent need to jazz-up the muffled monotones, scroll until my eyeballs bleed and fluid oozes from my ears. As a hedonist, Ive always shunned self-flagellation, put the kibosh on tears & fears, avoided pious declamation, howsoever it appears. Loathsome apparitions flutter up from the bottom of my screen, horrid stats on malnutrition juxtaposed with acquisition-lust, sparkling sheens alongside moldy crusts, gutter-dregs by scenes of utmost gaiety. Rental movies and Pay-TV portray the muchness & suchness on endless replay, the heretofore & henceforth status quo, spontaneity aglow in shallow cliche. Hope vies with despair the further I scroll, Ebola posts & pics of bluest skies clamor for my soul & goggle my eyes, wretchedness & sunrise hug & grapple, but I keep my eye on the prize - I seek the Eden-snakes bright red apple. Obliquely slantwise the snake leans from the tree, offering the fruit in perpetuity, always available & totally free - the pleasure of writing just for me! To hear my brain whirr & ping, to drop a line & see it sing, is to me, well.....everything.
