What a great day #teamcaswell had yesterday in Baxter Springs celebrating Cowtown Days. The weather was perfect, the entertainment was fantastic, and the food was fabulous. It all got kicked off with the Lions Club serving up a cowboy breakfast, followed by several participants running in the first annual Cowtown Days 5K run. The festivities then moved over to the Johnston library where vendors of all kinds were showing off their creations. With the colorful help of Ross Davis and Joe French we were entertained with a variety of talented singers from Baxter and Riverton school choirs to local church groups and praise teams. That evening more entertainment from the comedic talents of Joe French and Sally Johnson Barger along with an improv performance from Bud Johnson himself. The celebration was a huge success for the Baxter Chamber of Commerce and the city itself. Lastly, the Chamber is raffling off a beautiful 24 Kt Gold-plated Limited edition engraved Uberti/Winchester 1873-45 Long Colt rifle. it is one of the most beautiful guns I have ever seen.
