What a great night! I feel that somehow, maybe just a little, we managed to do justice to the memory of our friend, brother, Papa, Uncle Jim.....Many thanks to all of those who were able to join with us; including many who made very long trips in order to do so. To those who were not able, you were missed!.......Awesome rounds of applause to all of those who made this wonderful evening of celebration possible;first and foremost Glow Or Keith B, Carrie and Kevin Stahl, Brent Shepard. Amongst other things Brent worked night and day and produced the most amazing videos of his big bruva..............To Shawn Hopman, who squeezed yet another obligation into an already very busy week to arrange and lead the band, sound and video; you are over the top, dude! Thank you for so kindly dealing with my screw-ups on vocals!.........To Doug Ross and Dana Mattson for jumping in to play some awesome music!.....And along the way a pretty amazing miracle occurred as well. One of Jims dear friends Jon Olson was slated to play the drums but a last minute emergency got in the way. So how could it be that Jims eldest son Chris Dau had just happened to decide to be in town early for the service and be at the church at the very time that this sudden crisis was developing. And how could it be that Chris is a drummer? It could not have been much better than that!..........Danny Wild and Dave Reidel rocked the sound and video equipment; THANKS GUYS!.....Pastor Mark Boone - youre awesome! Cant say enough!.......Heritage Assemblies, thank you for the use of your facilities. It was great!.....There were many great reunions last night of friends and family; what a blast! And capped off by hanging out at Perkins Restaurant drinking coffee and pop, sharing stories......Wow. .........Jims brother Brent will be producing video of the evening at some point so keep your eyes open on facebook if you are interested. There is a chance that there may also be a video available on the Heritage Assemblies website within the next week as well. We will try to let people know if that becomes available................. Jimbo, well see you later, okay? Were looking forward to spending our eternity with your infectious laughter and corny jokes as we all dance on the streets that are golden together! Amen.
