The UC-Royals fall 15-5 at the hands of the FALL Pirates The UC-Royals didnt have a chance on Monday, as the FALL Pirates won in blowout fashion, 15-5 in six innings at NALL - Newark Junior High School. The FALL Pirates scored five runs in the sixth on a groundout by Sam Visconti, a two-run triple by Rey McKeiver, a wild pitch, and an RBI double by Gio Cilibrasi. The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to eight lead changes in the game. The FALL Pirates took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. The FALL Pirates went up for good on an RBI double by Josh Rocha off Jaylean H, plating Kyle Hamilton. Rey racked up four RBIs on three hits for the FALL Pirates. The top of the first saw the FALL Pirates take an early lead, 1-0. Gio singled to ignite the FALL Pirates offense. The UC-Royals scored two runs of their own in the first. The UC-Royals scored on a two-run single by Luis N. The FALL Pirates scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fifth. In the third, the FALL Pirates scored on an RBI single by Khalil Titsworth, scoring Pranav Sundar. Great pitching by Josh Rocha throwing for 2.1 innings allowing just 1 hit and striking out 4 to allow the Pirates to take a sizable lead to win the game earning him the game ball. Pirates play Wednesday @ 5:30 in Union City as we play our 3rd game of our mid season tournament.
