What a great week this has been. After last week’s successful lecture at UP Diliman, I received a pleasant surprise. I would like to thank the Department of Education and the Parent Advocates for Visually Impaired Children for honoring me with the Outstanding Visually Impaired Achiever for Academics Award at the 24th Annual White Cane Safety Day Celebration held Thursday at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, Dep Ed Complex, Pasig City. My deepest gratitude to my Resources for the Blind, Inc. family for the nomination and my ATRIEV family for the support. As a bonus, I got to see my friends: OVIA co-awardee (Information Technology and Employment) Rhea Althea Guntalilib, new interagency subcom chair for ICT Chito Pabia, and my little sister and young entrepreneur extraordinaire Roby Ann! Good week indeed! BTW, I will be guesting at DZRB tomorrow between 10:00 and 11:00 A.M. to talk about the award.
