What a great weekend! With a wonderful season ending performance, our kids brought the competition season to a magnificent close at bandmasters championship winning 1st place in class AAA, outstanding music, visual, & effects, class AAA champions, and bringing home fourth overall defeating some AAAA bands along the way.......again! These kids have so much to be proud of and an exceptional platform to build on for next years marching season. We are already cooking up some ideas to try and top this one! They definitely stepped up to the challenge I placed before them and impressed me. I am very proud to be this bands director! We are performing as a pep band this Friday night for the 1st round of playoffs here at bhs. Call time is 6 pm in full uniform. Dress warm. Guard uniform for friday night will be discussed in class with the girls. We do not plan to march the show this Friday night. We will still be moving front ensemble equipment to the field though (just in case). We will be performing at all playoff games to support our football team In band right now we are putting together our parade music and Christmas concert program. You should definitely be hearing your child practicing some Christmas music at home. Here are some dates you need to know: November 11th. Veterans Day parade (this is handled during school) November 12 th. booster meeting at bhs band hall. 6:30 pm December 2nd. Brighton Christmas parade. Times TBA December 7th. Millington Christmas parade. Times TBA December 12th. BHS band and choir Christmas concert 6:30 pm @ BHS gymnasium December 13th. BMS Bands Christmas concert. Times TBA
