What a journey we had this evening with Tom Dreesen. I just want to relay a few things from my couple of days with this man. He was amazing and he took the time for our kids. He stopped and talked to kids about whatever they brought up and the advice I heard him give time and again about working hard, having passion for what you want in live, dreams are fulfilled if you are determined to get there, no one will do things for you....you have to make your way, and a plethora of other important and so real things he said to them....and they were nearly all in the show we witnessed tonight. In our theatre class that he spoke to kids on Friday he told them that there are many really good comedians in the world today and he defined what he thought was the scale for greatness in his world. A great comedian was one who could bring laughter to the audience and then bring them to tears with sentiment and then end the show with laughter....tonight, we were exposed to greatness. Tom Dreesen is a legend and his legend also includes a piece of Wylie High School and AHMO. In my mind he will always be a hero and he will always be the star that Frank Sinatra closed for. Thank you Tom Dreesen! The best is truly yet to come.
