What a man thinks is acceptable in the eyes of God often differs from what God has said is acceptable to God. Am I living under the guidance of my own knowledge and understanding or living under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God? Thats a good question for us all. If GOD is going to do the judging of entering Heaven or being sent away to Hell, then why would a man think he could live by his own standards and not the ones GOD has clearly given us? A man be living his whole life thinking he is doing just fine in Gods eyes without ever having a relationship with Christ, repenting, or accepting salvation through a spiritual rebirth which is accompanied by fruits of the spirit. There is a way that SEEMETH right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. People, God will be our judge, not ourselves. You may be passing your own test, but be failing Gods. Repentence is not negotiable. If you have not turned from your sinful ways, there has been no repentence. What is more important to you, living to sin or going to Heaven? Our actions will answer that question, no matter what we say our answer is. We cannot live our lives constantly comparing our good deeds and bad deeds to those of others thinking that God will grade on a curve. The only passing grade we will receive will be written in the blood of Jesus applied to our souls which comes from being born again of an incorruptible seed which is Christ and is attained through repentence and faith.
