What a nice weekend. Attended a Shambhala Level 1 retreat. I unique western flavor of Buddhism - no Pali or Sanskrit words, little dogma, relaxed versus rigid - just might be something I may stick with (even though I never wanted to join a club that would have me as a member. A little bit of big city was a treat - Edmonton has a nice energy, less frantic than the Cowtown. Several healing doses of Asain cuisine. The Shambhala food was wonderful. I wasnt surprised they had wine and cheese at the end of the course mingle - these cats are human. Speaking of cats - it was kind of nice to be away from mine for a few days. Ill just love and appreciate them more when I see then later today. Off for a final input of Dim Sum, hit a bookstore and then step into the time machine to return to the land of the sleeping dinosaur.
