What a night. The haul of our beloved Shaykh Zakariah - peace & blessings be upon his soul, saw many familiar faces. The love upon this blessed man pulled all the sincere souls who loved him truly together tonight. Despite the politics and differences - Love brought everyone together. A brilliant & intelligent & beautiful friend converted to Islam and again, despite the many differences we may have, suddenly it feels like a connection was made - one that flowed across all boundaries - it can only be Love. My dearest friend had to face a loss - her grandmother passed on this evening. She was definitely the pole of the clan. A gem of a woman. & just like that it got me to think there could be a hundred other beautiful or devastating stories out there tonight. Lets pray for everyone & lets let our love & prayers reach out to the closest & furthest person tonight - wherever they may be, whoever they may be. Al Fateha.
