What a night...forgot my good headlamp and my hunting knife...thankfully I had the in case one of us gets abducted and thrown in the trunk survival knife. There was no sign of Geronimo...I waited over two hours with bait...but I saw six others including the big gator that I chased for two miles last month. I was onto him/her until the Sheriffs helicopter...for absolutely no reason...swarmed around me several times before coming in low with the spotlight...thanks guys...your complete lack of justification made me lose a big gator! Ill be calling your superiors tomorrow and demanding an apology! I tried out a new route, which was very interesting and I am certain is one that has not been visited by many humans as it is well hidden and only accessible during very high tide. I had three good sized gators completely disappear on me...it would have been a huge help to have had an assistant on board as holding the spotlight while driving and readying the fishing pole was extremely difficult. A long night with interesting currents but Im ready to hit it again tomorrow and the day after!
