What a perfect day for sketching in Chester! Maple & Main became home base for my (Jan Blencowes ) outdoor sketching class . The morning began with the eight participants gathered in the gallery at 9 AM for a materials demo, a look at all kinds of fun pencils, pens, markers, watercolor kits, and sketching gear. We headed out to take in the sights, sounds and aromas of the market, capturing it all through our sketches . After lunch and cooling off in the gallery we headed to Chester Creek to immerse ourselves in the cool and quiet of nature. We continued our afternoon sketching the verdant tres and the flowing water.
