What a person normally leaves behind in their last will and testament is their accumulated wealth and possessions to be distributed. But Jesus left behind no material possessions, no bank account, no houses or land. His legacy was of an altogether different kind. What Jesus leaves is not a placebo to con the heart into being untroubled. It is the Messiahs peace, the shallom of Gods kingdom established in the midst of strife. What legacy am I, you and we are going to leave for the generation behind us?
