What a sham and a shame?................................... This is not the democracy we need. It was sad to also learn about how the Chairmanship, the Vice Chairmanship and the Secretary positions of the Ika South Local Government area were cornered and shared among three politicians from the same town and how one of them who could not deal with the unconscionable travesty had to give out his Vice Chairmanship loot of the fraud to an Abavo stooge of his against the expectations of some Abavo members of the party who had a candidate they thought would better serve the interest of the Abavo people at the council. My question is, why were they so scared of allowing the people choose who they want to serve them in an open primary election? Does this crazy action if allowed to stand, promote the Ika unity we desperately need? At whose expense will the much talked about Ika unity be, if we cannot honestly share with each other? I am very happy as an Abavo man that this thing happened now as it clearly demonstrates that Abavo has no reliable political class that has the capability of engaging their peers from other places in constructive diplomatic arguments or a contest of political writ in an environment infested with sharks, because they are scared, selfish and not willing to make sacrifices, believing that money is all that is needed to make a difference politically, but still, are not willing to part with a dime beyond expecting the stipends they will get as settlement for the acceptance of fraud from those who colonize them and the rest of Ika, and who they refer to as leaders. The Ika I believe in is the one that would provide a level playing field for all Ika citizens regardless of place of birth or other considerations and I know there are lots of real Ika people who want to see that happen in no distant time. We are too homogenous to discriminate against each other. Personally, I will not be silent when I observe attempts to treat Abavo or any part of Ika as a junior partner in the Ika nation and I expect all real Ika people to start raising their voices against these discriminatory vices. Those who think they can come to Abavo to install stooges as leaders under any guise, be prepared to deal with consequences. To the Abavo people, when are you going to stop allowing people impose leaders on you?
