What a state to be in! Look where we are, and consider where we should be… The Rangers are flat on their backs, about to be declared penniless for the second time in less than 2 years. Their directors are playing a game which is bizarre mix of musical chairs, pass the parcel and postman’s knock – except they’ve had to flog the chairs, the parcel is full of used notes in small denominations and the postman is actually a bailiff. And how do we take advantage of this on the green side of Glasgow? The board banishes the very fans who brought the thunder back to paradise for - well, for being too noisy and too political. They sold the players who took us on a marvellous and profitable adventure last season and the board pocket the money without bothering to replace them. Then Lenny makes incomprehensible decisions with team selection and tactics which see us getting beaten 2 - 0 by a bunch of rank outsiders. We should be laughing at the blue nose bastards, but the only noises I’m hearing is them laughing and us moaning. Of course it’s not over yet – the advantage we enjoy at Celtic Park may well see us progress to the group stages and drown out their jeers. But how do we get the message across to Lawell that this can’t carry on – that we deserve better than this? How do we get him to open his wallet? Boycotts? Protests? I suppose Semtex is out of the question… But something needs to happen to remind the arrogant clique around Lawell that they are only temporary custodians of the club – Celtic has always belonged to the fans and that’s not going to change. Not on our watch!
