What a strange place America has become from the place I remember. Now politicians decide which woman can or can not have a mammogram. I remember when this decision was a private decision between a woman and her physician. Then, politicians were not in a position to require students to earn school lunches, either. Local control over school lunches, mammograms, affordable college educations, and whether or not ketchup is a vegetable (and what else?) has gone from local communities to politicians and other strangers. (I will no recrimination to those who think otherwise).
