What a super great day I had yesterday!! Long story short--Tony was able to get tickets from a friend to the Born to Be Wild concert with former band member of Steppenwolf, down in Spokane. My nephew Wayde is their drummer!!! Everybody kept it a secret from Wayde that I was going to be there. I didnt even know until yesterday morning! Tony and I were also invited to a private BBQ that the promoter was having for the band. The friend that got us the tickets is also a friend of the promoter so thats how that came about. It was just so awesome when Wayde looked up from the chair he was sitting in on the lawn and saw me approaching him. He was totally surprised! What an awesome time we had together before the band played later on and then afterwards. Everybody thought it was so cool when they found out that I was the drummers aunt! Thanks so much to Tony & Brian for making such a wonderful surprise reunion with my nephew happen, plus getting to listen to such an awesome band. Waydes drum solos were totally superb!! Love my nephew to death!! What an absolute great day it was! Im still all stoked about what a super awesome day I got to have. We didnt get home until almost 4 this morning! It was so worth every sleepless moment!! :) :)
