What a tiring day yesterday for us in Tucson, but we did it all & made it home safely. Tom had another MRI. While he was doing that I drove across town to surgeons office to let them know some changes & problems Tom has had. Drove back to pick Tom up, we stopped to eat a bite of lunch. Headed home. Got 30 miles from home & got a call from surgeons office that he wanted to see Tom. So turned around & drove back to Tucson. Met with surgeon, & he told us the cyst was probably leaking as it showed up smaller in this MRI. The leakage was what was giving Tom his problems. Surgeon scheduled Toms brain surgery for next Thur, 31st at 7:30am. He will be in ICU for 2 days. Doctor said he will not be able to remove all of the tumor as it could have devastating effect. He will remove what is safe. So, he recommends Radiation treatment afterwards & says it works very well in eliminating whats left of the tumor. Toms shunt will remain in his body most likely for the rest of his life. I will post info after the surgery, & I have talked to the surgeon.
