What a true article about motherhood. Even though this is written from the perspective of a brand new mom, it really applies to all moms at any stage of motherhood. I still cry when I think about my babies growing up and check to make sure they are breathing when they sleep. I get up in the middle of the night to test the fire alarms and unplug the appliances and triple check the locks. I still sometimes, for just a tiny moment, wish I could have just one day for myself, and then feel immediately guilty for even thinking it, to the point of making myself physically ill by just thinking about not having them in my life. Its crazy how I can sit and have a hundred different emotions in one minute, all because Im thinking about my kids. Even on those days when the fighting never stops and the house looks like a tornado hit (wait, thats every day!!), its absolutely worth every second.
