What a way to usher in the Great Eid. «اتقوا دعوة المظلوم وإن كان كافرا فإنه ليس دونها حجاب» Beware the prayer of the oppressed, even if he be a disbeliever, for there is no veil between it [and God]. (Ahmad, sahih) Only a people described by Gods Messenger ﷺ as “dogs of the dwellers of hell” could kick off the days of Eid with their own sick, twisted version of udhiya, sacrifice. Only they could succeed in defiling the name of Allah and His Messenger in ways the most virulent enemies of the faith could not. Only they could slaughter a man, so moved by the pain of the children of Syria that he left his own children to reach out to them, missing Christmas at home to help Muslims displaced and freezing. Only they could cut his throat while invoking a Merciful and Compassionate God, with an utter disregard for everything their Prophet taught against killing non-combatants and those assured security by fellow believers. May they be crushed by the weight of His words that they take with their tongues and desecrate with their actions, and the weight of every plea and cry of those they wrong – men, women, children, believer, unbeliever. How they will tremble the day they next see Alan, and he asks Allah whether He had really made his blood lawful to them. Rid the earth, O Allah, of these dogs. Their crimes are greater than anyone elses because they ascribe their vile, grotesque actions to Your Beloved and You.
