What a whirlwind 24 hours since the CNP clients arrived. I picked them up from the Kichwa airstrip yesterday morning and on the way back to the lodge had gone no less than 700 meters when we saw a Lioness under a tree watching a herd of Giraffe. She charged the smallest of the herd who just managed to stay out of reach by a mere meter. NO photos as the camera gear hadnt been unpacked yet. There are a few hundred thousand Wildebeest, Zebra and Topi in the Triangle which numerous cat sightings. The best sighting we had thus far was the loan Roan Antelope we found this afternoon. The previous sighting of a Roan was last June in the Greater Mara. The last sighting of a Roan in the Mara Triangle dates back to 2003. This place a really special.
