What a wonderful beginning for the new first year students who started the accredited professional shiatsu therapist diploma course. It is quite something to have deepened our knowledge in Shiatsu as Oriental therapy and how we now have the honour of teaching Oriental students the theoretical and practical history of their great gift to the Western world. The new group is enthusiastic and love the original family feeling where full contact shiatsu - and therefore a deep and strengthening intimacy is still the cultural standard in the home. Here our European students will learn from the cultural backgrounds of their Oriental colleagues directly where the sincerity and care always was the glue of Japanese culture. I hope they bring more to us from their culture which is natural for them and a great contribution to the people in our school. They have already felt the feeling of home which is so natural and - as you can see - the whole group have been getting together with each other as exercise and practise colleagues on this course. It is no little thing to make such an integration, contribute to our understanding and to become fully qualified accredited healers who will be much needed in our world. We wish them all a wonderful time studying with us while they develop their knowledge and will for the near future.
