What a wonderful way to end a very hectic and worrisome day! A new LNPB Villager writes: If you could please let me know the nice ladys name who Is always in the photos with the animals thank you. Dear LNPB, Nothing is closer to my heart than my dogs. I have loved 9 Shar- pei in my life and have had mostly rescues. Shar-pei have a lot of health issues and the get dumped frequently because of it. Anyway, my Albert is 12 its the longest I have ever had a pei live. I thank god every day he wakes up next to me and every night as he snores off to sleep. I cannot understand it truly blows my mind that so many people throw older dogs away like trash. Its one of the saddest things for me to read about. I know how scary it is for a dog to be blind or losing its hearing and to then throw it into an unfamiliar place where is it confused and scared as well as feeling vulnerable with hearing and sight issues is just the cruelest thing to do to a loyal loving companion. I will never ever understand how people can be so cruel. You do such wonderful work and help so many animals. I see the love and compassion you give to the neglected hurting and deserted. They get a second chance because of you to live out their lives with the dignity and love they deserve. Because my dogs are everything to me, every Valentines Day I choose a rescue to donate to. I cannot think of a better one than Leave No Paws Behind. Thank you for all you do ~
