What a wonderful way to spend our last day in Paihia! Went for a cruise of the north islands we came across Bottlenose Dolphin Pods twice while out. We stopped and watched them each time then, when our Catamarin would leave they would play in the wake leaping and flopping for quite awhile. Then we went to the Hole in the Rock. You would think you would go through it real slow, but no, they gunned that boat and zipped through it! What a blast, especially on the bow! They have to go fast to keep boat controlled with the wave action. We went to many islands and even delivered mail to some. Most have a couple of houses on them, owned by rich people, only caretakers around on most of them. Had our farewell banquet tonight, drive to Auckland tomorrow for our night flight to LA. We get there around noon stay all night then leave Fri. morning for home. Get to have 2 Thursday this week, crossing the deadline.
