What a wonderful weekend with perfect weather God gave us. Last weeks storm put so much in perspective for me. Kaytlyn and I were caught in that storm and she was very frightened. When we turn on our street we were stunned by the images of downed trees and broken glass. Her dad was at my house and when we learned that my neighbor had a downed tree in his yard we all went to help. As we crossed the alley and emerged on his street the devastation was much worse. About 20 neighbors came out of their homes and it seemed that we moved in rhythm with each other as Dana and Rusty went house to house with a chain saw, Kaytlyn and I with our rakes and others clearing debris. After a few hours a nice gentlemen drove down the street passing out Chic filet sandwiches to all those lending a hand. I know this is a long way to say that God showed me what a wonderful neighborhood I live in and I am so grateful.
