What an INCREDIBLE day of worship we had at Joy Metropolitan Community Church. Worship was off the CHAIN. Joel Ogburn led us in worship beautifully. The musicians (Joel, Mandy Kimmer and Melissa Marlyn Moir Dunn) played an amazing song for offertory. Larry Watchorn almost prayed us INTO heaven! Rev Shirley Strader and Larry celebrated a communion we wont quickly forget. Jeff Henderson, Justin Radtke, David Paul, Kathiria Caballer served us selflessly in the sound/media booth. The greeters (led by Angela Bates and Janice Driggers, Jimmy and several others made everyone coming in the door welcome. We had numerous visitors, including the wonderful Anthony White from RMCC in Houston (so good to see him). A mom brought her teenage son because she said she knew he needed us. The Spirit moved in a mighty way.....and then we had a THREE HOUR discipleship class with Tito and Tiara Powell Duane), Angela Bates, Tammie Kimmins, Linda Simonsen and Lisa Moore Sheldon (whose EXTRAVANT Generosity put our calendar fundraiser at $4500 thus far), Patrick Vanderwyden, Danielle Claridge and Cindy Casale, Joel and Ryan Grable, Justin and Ryan Mccormack, Kat, where Gods Spirit KEPT moving. We took in 9 new members (including JR Cornish, Linda, Lisa, Heather Crumpton Vitrano, Fabio Ramos, Danielle, Cindy, Kat, and Jim ). Jesus is ALIVE, Saints....and Im simply happy to be a part of it. There are countless others who made this all happen. I love each of you (including our Board of Directors: Dave Hack, Lane Blackwell, Dr. Patrick Caraher, Marlyn, Justin, Cyndi Mendez, and Karen Castelloes (whom we missed because of her injury--praying for you!), our staff--the best staff in the world: Angela, Joel, and Chuckems Chuck Turner); Our ministerial interns: Larry and Deanne E. Torell; Our food pantry volunteers who have served and fed almost 500 folks this month William Allman, Chuck, Karen and Dee Saauvageau). I sing...Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Youre love makes me sing. I am so so so blessed. As my brother, whom I miss dearly, Stanley Ramos, would say: LOOK AT GOD! Amen..
