What an amazing first marathon! Indianapolis Monumental is a great one! Tons of friendly, encouraging volunteers, the course goes through downtown and some great neighborhoods where the residents are out cheering, there are bands playing in yards, just amazing for the whole 26.2 miles! And then theres my wonderful, amazing, awesome, encouraging, beautiful family and friends! Wow! I couldnt ask for more! My supportive husband who knew I could do this before I did! My encouraging friend and nutrition expert Judy Stutes, and Alan Stutes - such awesome friends! And oh my gosh, where to even start with my family?! My beautiful mother, Nancy King Hanscom who hung in there all day traipsing from spot to spot to catch me running by for 2 minutes! My sister, Marsha Hanscom Stroup who printed maps and planned out each viewing spot! My brother, Steven George Hanscom who knows downtown and found new spots when the others didnt happen! My beautiful daughter, Katie Blair, who took off work to come cheer her mom through! My super supportive sister-in-law, Alison Hanscom who ran the last 5 miles with me - come on, youve got this! I totally would have walked most of that last 5 without her! And last but definitely not least - my wonderful nieces, Abby, Mya, and Carolyn who high fived me every time I went by! Thanks to all my running and biking friends who sent supportive texts! Thanks to all my work buddies and FB friends who were so encouraging! I am so blessed and I love each one of you more than words can say! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
