What an eventful start to our holiday. We had a lovely siting of 3 hippo bulls out of the dam. As we were watching and I was taking photos the one decided to mock charge us. With a grunt and a run he moved at an incredible pace toward us. Two ladies and myself turned very quickly. Ed found me by following the brown trail I left behind. Only joking, but I did get a fright. Talking to the guard then, he regaled us with stories of the 2 smaller bulls. These two look for shit he said. The larger of the 3 was happily grazing on the sweet grass that, I am sure in his mind the green keeper has grown only for them. Once we got back to our chalet, we discovered that the sewerage pump had broken. We couldnt sit outside for the smell. This morning we called reception and other than sending in the maintenance team, moved us to a different chalet, overlooking the 13th fairway and by far better view. Well done Sabi River Sun on quick and friendly action.
