What an incredible film. Dont miss it on the big screen at Gartenbaukino. Under The Skin is not an experience to get like a standard three-act structure. You have to give in to its odd up- and down-shifts in style and pace. The films disturbing effect is felt most when the audience is as disoriented as the perversely sympathetic lead. Her journey through an alien landscape, where not even English speakers understand half of the locals language and customs, is a triumphant blend of creatively suggestive imagery and haunting sound design over banally obvious dialogue. The final payoff is both emotional and somehow, sadly, to be expected. A must for anyone involved with filmmaking. undertheskinmovie/trailer
