What an incredibly frustrating week this has been..... Im a bit overwhelmed with emotion as so many are tonight. I pretty much cant keep from crying and feeling a bit helpless over several things this week has brought. It didnt help when the tones alarmed this afternoon and I watch my husband scurry out the door because our brothers in blue had been shot. He still hasnt made it home- as many others havent-because they are just doing their jobs. Left the hospital a while ago where we checked on a dear family member who was just admitted as well as the family of our brave heroes. Hero wives are a special group- they have faith and fortitude like none other. There is no love quite like that of our local heroes- Ive never experienced anything like it and I never will. Praying hard for their families and so grateful these men were protected by God. Life is never guaranteed, we all know that, but it just puts a lump in your throat when its your hero family- because they risk their lives EVERYDAY for ALL of US.....God bless hero families... They need our love and support. So blessed to be a part of the law enforcement/ firefighting/ EMS family. I love each of you SO much!! And Im very thankful to God for His gift of salvation and peace, so even amidst the chaos in the sinful life- we can still have the peace that passes all understanding. And when you dont know what to do, when you feel helpless...PRAY! It works.
